The Spa Shop Service Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all spa and pool servicing, repairs, maintenance, installations and call-outs undertaken by The Spa Shop.

Service Charges

Service Technician $110.00/hr GST inclusive
Minimum Charge 1 Hour Applies to all service call-outs
Vehicle Charge $35.00 Rotorua & Hamilton urban areas
Outside Urban Areas $1.55/km Calculated from the nearest service base
Diagnostic Fee (Workshop)$55.00 Applies where repairs are declined
Additional Labour 30 min blocks Charged after the minimum charge
Please note: travel is calculated from and returning to the nearest operating service base. Additional travel time may be charged where excessive travel is required.

Parts & Materials

Replacement parts, chemicals, consumables, freight and specialist equipment are charged separately unless otherwise stated in writing.

Estimates & Quotations

All quotations and estimates are based on the information available at the time. Should additional faults or work be identified during the service, The Spa Shop will seek customer approval before proceeding wherever reasonably practicable.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless a trade account has been approved in writing.
  • Ownership of all goods supplied remains with The Spa Shop until payment has been received in full.
  • Overdue accounts may incur debt collection costs, legal costs, interest and administration fees where permitted by law.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and unrestricted access to the equipment.
  • Ensure power and water are available where required.
  • Secure pets before the technician arrives.
  • Advise us of any known faults or previous repairs.

Where our technician cannot safely complete the work due to restricted access or unsafe conditions, labour, vehicle and travel charges will still apply.

Warranty

The Spa Shop provides a 90-day workmanship warranty on repairs carried out by our technicians. Manufacturer warranties apply to replacement parts where applicable.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Corrosion or deterioration due to age.
  • Chemical imbalance or poor water quality.
  • Freeze damage.
  • Vermin or insect damage.
  • Misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Damage caused by third parties.
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications.

Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum service charge.

Limitation of Liability

The Spa Shop will exercise reasonable care and skill when carrying out all work. Our liability is limited to the value of the services supplied and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss.

Acceptance

By requesting, booking or accepting services from The Spa Shop, the customer acknowledges they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The current version published by The Spa Shop applies to all services provided.
