Our Story

The Spa Shop was founded in 2013 by Stuart Pinfold, a Rotorua local with deep technical knowledge of spa systems.

The business began as Spa Guy Rotorua, originally focused on spa repairs and maintenance. As demand grew, we expanded into spa sales, refurbishment, parts supply, and ongoing service support — evolving into The Spa Shop to better reflect what we do today.

Stuart remains hands-on in the business, supporting customers, leading refurbishments, and helping make sure every spa we sell is one we’d be proud to have in our own backyard.
